The evidence we examined suggests that the Middle Indus Valley or Harappan Civilization was homegrown by people who had occupied the area since the Paleolithic and had transitioned to Neolithic agriculture. They apparently had no natural enemies in the area and built large unfortified cities. They were still worshiping the Mother Goddess who seems to have been the default deity of the late Paleolithic. There is no evidence that they were aggressive among themselves (no previous destruction layers in the excavations), which means they were not prepared to defend themselves against a competent invader. They probably welcomed immigrants into their agrarian and crafts trading culture.

The Indo-Aryans were one descendant of the proto-Indo-European tribes which had formed in the Steppes north of the Black Sea, Caucasus Mountains, and the Caspian Sea. These Steppes were a difficult living environment and this led the Indo-Europeans to follow a nomadic, pastoral lifestyle. The Indo-Europeans first domesticated the horse, invented the two wheeled wagon, and pulled their wagons with oxen and later horses. Inventing the spoked wheel, their wagons became much lighter and more agile. We can imagine that they developed chariot warfare while fighting each other for choice real estate. When they began to expand, defenders found themselves facing a weapon they could not overcome.
As we saw, the first evidence that the Indo-Aryans were in the Indus Valley was the presence of fire altars at Kalibangan around 2500 BC, which was a sharp departure from the earlier Mother Goddess worship. At that time, we might suppose that an early contingent of Indo-Aryans had either built (unlikely for nomads) or infiltrated the Harappan town, probably by making camp on adjoining land. We might imagine that the Indo-Aryan pioneers realized they didn’t have sufficient numbers to overwhelm the huge Harappan culture. Over the succeeding centuries, the Indo-Aryan presence grew until they had sufficient numbers and influence to unravel the fabric of the pacific agriculturalist culture and replace it.
We see little evidence that the Indo-Aryans invaded the Indus Valley Civilization with sufficient force to overwhelm and conquer it. What we really see is that the Indo-Aryans were accommodated, perhaps even welcomed, and allowed to prosper – despite the natural conflict between farmers and pastoralists. Perhaps the Harappan elites were not concerned about the problem this would cause Harappan farmers, but rather were looking forward to expanded trading for their high-end manufacturers. The elites were probably less invested in the mother Goddess than the farmers, as well. We see at a distance the coming conflict over land use and worship, but they didn’t. And we can examine the results of the social experiment by reading the Rig Veda, which was written by the Indo-Aryan successors.
The Harappan elite’s social experiment with “multiculturalism” and “inclusiveness” appears remarkably similar to the ambition of elites in the West to rebuild Europe and North America into a multi-religious (a.k.a. irreligious and non-Christian), multicultural, and inclusive society lacking any traditional Western mores. If that sounds a lot like what the Communists tried to do in the USSR, and what Hitler tried to do in Germany, it is no coincidence. Selfishly ambitious leaders in the Western countries have fixated on gaining a stranglehold over their peoples to force them into some inchoate moral equivalent of communism or fascism. Of course to do so, they must crush opposition, and disarm their own people.
An unarmed and powerless populace is the dream of would-be tyrants. Any innovation to weaken their peoples’ will to resist their decrees, however radical and dangerous, looks good to ambitious elites. Thus, the Western wannabe tyrants have opened the floodgates of immigration and swamped their nations with what they have planned would be limitless cheap labor, a thousand ethnic restaurants convenient to their front doors, the wholesale destruction of the economic power of their native middle-class, and the growth of cultural islands unlikely to find common ground in opposing their ambition for unimpeded ruling power. European elites are already there. The USA is close behind.
The formula of selective immigration augmented domestic birthrates to strengthen Western countries for centuries. However, they now encounter a globally organized enemy who is using open immigration to assemble his “fifth column” inside their borders. This enemy is organized around a religious system which requires a template for civil governance called Sharia. The “holy book” for this enemy is called the Koran and proclaims a generalized mandate to subject the rest of the world to the Koran under the governance of Sharia. Such subjugation can only be accomplished by violence, as the Arabs conquered and “converted” the Byzantine East, Egypt, north Africa, southeastern and southwestern Europe, South Asia, and as far east as Indonesia. No one accepts this religion except through fear and military coercion.

After 300 years of Islamic conquests, such as the “conversion” of then-Christian Egypt, the West awoke and counterattacked Islam in the Levant with sporadic campaigns for 300 years, but without driving the Arabs back to their desert. However, in 1492, the Spaniards expelled the Arabs and Islam from western Europe. In 1529 the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire (Islam’s HQ at the time) besieged Vienna, Austria and was repulsed, which brought to an end the century-long Islamic conquest of the Danube Valley. However, to this day, most Islamic conquests remain under the Islamic boot outside of Europe and India. Thus, I offer the following linked articles which give perspective on Islamic Imperialism and the Crusades. Do your own research.
Why have I focused our study of ancient history to compare what happened in India 4,000 years ago with what is now happening in Europe and the USA? Here’s why. I don’t study history just to appreciate the ancient art, architecture, and cultures. In everything I study, I consider its implications in the world of my time. And this comparison of the fall of the Harappan culture when it was confronted by the cultural invasion of the Indo-Aryans is obviously, at least to me, a parallel to the frontal assault by Islam that is now being experienced in Europe, Canada, and the USA. The Islamics, both inside and outside these countries, are playing faction against faction and Christian against non-Christian, fanning dissension and undermining national unity. I can no longer watch silently as the Islamics (Muslim Brotherhood et al) seek to destroy us (when they speak in Arabic to their own) while playing the Political Correctness Card (“I’m offended by your accusations that Islam is not peaceful”) to silence their critics in the Western world.
As Iran prepares its nuclear weapons while Washington dithers, I can no longer remain silent. In the midst of widespread cowardice and self-serving among those native-born who hate their own country, I must add my voice to those who love and stand with America, and those who have stood with her since her founding upon the Rock of Christianity. To America’s enemies, I warn them to consider how thoroughly America has demolished its prior existential enemies.
